CSS Fixed Background Effect From CodyHouse

I follow digital trends somewhat closely, as well as the debates that surround those trends. This post though isn’t about a trend or a debate so much, but rather just something put out there that you may choose to use or inspire you. I look at it a little like a CSS only parallax-effect hack. Not that their code is attempting to be a parallax effect, but the whole one-page, vertical-scroll, different-sections-thing makes me somehow feel it’s an “attempt”. Wrong or right, their example and downloadable code may inspire you somehow.

Go and have a look at their post here if CSS, scrolling, or parallax-type-effects might interest you:

Note in the comments section Richard Bradshaw is warning about load times being slow using position-attachment:fixed. I was thinking along the same lines about giant file sizes for graphics. You will certainly want to optimize your graphics for this kind of use. Then again, you should always be thinking of graphic usage, purpose and optimization technique.
