Ever shop online in Canada? Before clicking “buy” on some product you’re about to purchase, give the product a search on shopbot.ca. It can’t hurt to take the few seconds and see if somewhere else offers the product for cheaper. The shopbot.ca site has saved me a good amount of money in the past.
Another website I shop at offers a price-matching service. It’s a slick system that requires no merchant interaction and can be done on the spot at the time of purchase. You simply copy-and-paste the URL for the same product offered by another online retailer in Canada and they’ll match the price. Done. I’ve never had it contested and their website checkout just gives me the price that is stated at the other retailer. So when shopping at this site, I add everything to the cart I want, and then use shopbot.ca to see what is the lowest price offered in Canada, visit the page, copy the URL, and get that price! Ta-da. Don’t I feel like a geeky power-shopper.
So whether you’re price matching or just shopping, check out shopbot.ca to see if it can help you out.
